Highlights of our trip to France

Of course I have way too many pictures to share with everyone so here are three posts with some highlights.

Starting with Paris

One of the highlights for the kids - they were very excited to go up in the Eiffel Tower

Although we didn't go all the way to the top of the Eiffel Tower we had a great view from the 2nd platform.

We enjoyed some refreshing beverages at a side walk cafe

Hanging out in our hotel room watching the Olympics, playing cards, and having snacks and other refreshments.

The Grand Pyramid at the Louvre

King Louis's XIV monument to his army.  It's across the street from the Louvre which was his castle before it became an art museum.  (The Louvre is a huge complex of buildings and takes up several city blocks.  It's approximately 652,000 square feet.)

The Museum d'Orsay is an art museum.  Originally it was a train station
