Another year of wrestling

The youth wrestling season has started again.  Actually, it began more than a month ago but today was the first tournament that Nick wrestled in.  Today's tournament was at Mauston High School.  Although it took a while for the organizers to get the tournament started once it got going it was a good tournament.  Nick had a good day and got a medal for second place.

Nick's first opponent was  wrestler from Tomah.  Nick beat him 6-0.

Mom missed getting pictures of Nick's second match but here is the opponent from the third match.  The boy from Holmen was a good competitor.

Nick was able to get a cradle and a points for a near-fall.

Nick is working for a pin.  And he got it during the 2nd period!

Great day Nick!  He came home with a medal for 2nd place!

Nick will head to Tomah in a few weeks....stay tuned.
