Trip to Oregon

My mom & I took a trip to Oregon to visit the town of Sisters and the 40th annual Sisters Quilt Show.  We had a great time, saw lots of nice quilts, shopped a lot, and saw awesome scenery.  Thanks for taking me mom!

Here are some of the beautiful quilts we saw.  There were over 1,200 quilts on display!

Here are some of the 12,500 people that come to the event each year.  It really wasn't as crowded as I expected which was a pleasant surprise.

Many of the quilts are hung on stores, shops, and houses.
They were all displayed very nicely.

A quilt with Tula Pink's fabric who we heard give a presentation about how she designs her fabric and how fabric is made.  It was interesting, even for a non-quilter like me.

Other things we saw.........

The Three Sisters Mountains

More of the Cascade Mountains

The evidence of a forest fire
Mount Hood, the highest point in Oregon (11,250 feet)
Multnomah Falls near Portland was a beautiful stop

Fun treats from Voodoo Doughnuts in Portland.
Well worth the stop.
